"To write more, write more." This is my writing notepad.

Doctor, my people don’t understand me

A dictator’s lament.

Writing prompt: Where do you find acceptance? For your ideas? For the secret notions you have for who you really want to be? Or think you are? Who are the friends, family or co-workers who are most accepting of your true self? And how do they demonstrate their acceptance? What is different about how they treat you than other people?

You could always answer these questions about yourself, but imagine you ask Col. Gaddafi the same questions?

Who are the friends, family or co-workers who are most accepting of your true self?
How do they demonstrate their acceptance?
What is different about how they treat you than other people? What is different about how you treat them than other people?

The answers are in the pictures and stories coming out of Libya.

When he is eventually forced to leave or actually understands that he has no choice but to go, will he be bitter and feel that he was unfairly treated? Maybe he seeks psychological help to get in contact with his feelings: “Doctor, my people don’t understand me.”
