Introducing “Z for short”

leave a comment »

Starting in 2010, WordPress challenged their subscribers to write one post every day for a year, and presented a daily writing prompt. When I joined the challenge in 2011, I was a reluctant writer. “The resistance is sometimes so strong that it seems like a physical barrier to overcome, despite my urge to write. When I cannot find the angle of an article immediately, I give up,” I wrote on day 6. I quickly overcame that reluctance and the writing was easy. My goal was to prove to myself that I could write whenever I wanted. I only had time for 98 posts, but I have kept on blogging ever since.

It’s important to keep the writing flowing. That’s why I created Z for short. I needed a notepad type of blog for writing short stories and posts dealing with writing and e-publishing and whatever comes to mind. In the blog, I have included some of the daily WordPress posts mentioned above. Choose the “Writing prompts 2011” category in the sidebar to the right to see them.

I hereby declare Z for short opened.
